Your privacy.
Your private life is not our business model. Here is what we use to run Rio Now, who can see it and how you stay in control.

What we use and why
We use account details, your self-declared age, personal-key credentials and the profile information you provide: name, gender, preferences, languages and up to four photos, with optional occupation, height, weight and About me. We also keep likes, conversations, messages, blocks, reports, support requests and chat-access and payment records needed to run the service. Your personal key is not displayed on your profile. Age is self-declared, not verified.
We use this information to provide the service you request, keep accounts secure, handle support and meet legal obligations. The legal basis depends on the purpose: providing the service, legitimate security interests, legal obligations or your consent. We do not sell personal data or use advertising trackers.
We use your stated preferences to show profiles. Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser information and access logs to serve and protect the site.
Your browser stores sign-in and language settings so the site works, not for advertising. Keep your personal key and device secure.
What others can see
Other members can see your visible profile and photos. A member who pays to chat with you may start a conversation with you, and you can reply for free. Either person can block the other, preventing further profile visibility and contact and hiding the chat for both. Blocking does not erase information already viewed or saved, and limited records may remain for safety or legal purposes.
Be careful with information you choose to share in messages. Another person may save what you send.
Private conversations and safety
Our authorised team may review relevant information to respond to reports, investigate serious safety concerns or meet legal obligations. You can report or block someone inside Rio Now. Support is not an emergency service.
The companies that keep it working
Supabase provides account, database and photo storage services. Cloudflare hosts and protects the site, including through Turnstile. Resend provides administrative email delivery, not personal-key sign-in. If you tap Translate on a chat message, that message’s text goes to Google Translate to show you the translation. Share my date opens WhatsApp on your phone with a message you send yourself; if you add your location, it goes only into that message and Rio Now does not store it. These providers receive the data needed for those tasks and may process it outside Brazil. International transfers require the safeguards provided by applicable law.
Payments are not enabled yet. Before they are, we will identify the payment provider and its privacy notice. Rio Now’s purchase records cover transaction references, amounts, status, conversation unlocks and refunds, not full card numbers or security codes.
How long data stays
Profiles have no automatic expiry date. We do not automatically hide or delete a profile solely because of inactivity. After 90 days without account activity, a profile may appear on a private administrative review list; this does not itself hide or delete it. You can delete your account in settings. Age eligibility and moderation rules still apply.
You can delete your account in settings. Limited payment, fraud, report and legal records may need to remain for the relevant obligation or dispute, with access restricted. Provider backups follow their own retention schedules. Ask us which records remain for your account.
Your choices
Your preferences about whom you want to meet may reveal sensitive information about your sex life or orientation. We use them to show relevant profiles with your consent. You can manage that consent in Your data or contact support to withdraw it; preference-based browsing then stops.
You can download your data or delete your account in settings. Contact support to ask what we hold, access or correct it, request deletion, anonymisation, restriction or portability where applicable, ask about sharing, withdraw consent or object to unlawful processing. We may confirm account ownership, but never ask for your personal key. Requests are free and handled within applicable legal deadlines. You can complain to the relevant data-protection authority, including Brazil’s ANPD. We will give notice of material changes; new uses requiring consent will be presented separately.
Who is responsible
Terra Firme, LLC is responsible for Rio Now’s processing of personal data. Postal address: 18 Hammer Mill Lane, Bluffton, South Carolina 29909, United States. For privacy requests, contact support.
Moderation and account removal
Subject to applicable law, we may use relevant account information to suspend, restrict, hide, remove or permanently delete profiles or accounts, at our discretion and with or without prior notice, for safety, privacy, fraud prevention, Terms or policy enforcement, legal requirements, operational needs or other legitimate business reasons. Suspension restricts access; permanent deletion removes the active account, profile and stored profile photos. Limited moderation, security, fraud, payment, report and legal records may remain, with restricted access, only as necessary for the relevant purpose, obligation or dispute. Provider backups follow their retention schedules. Contact support to ask which records remain or to request review; your applicable data-protection rights remain available.
